Sustainability

We live off the land. So it is no more than normal that we do our utmost to use everything Mother Nature gives us on a sustainable basis.

You get what you give

At ‘My Goodness’, we place a premium on sustainability. You get what you give. We care about nature and do everything in our power to deal with nature with the utmost care and respect. Everything we do is by the book. As evidenced by the various certificates we have been awarded.

“We strongly believe in the golden rule: do as you would be done by. And that applies to people and nature! We do so by working hard to make every single step in our production processes as sustainable as possible.”

Our commitment to sustainability translates into a wide number of measures

We do what we say and say what we do. It may sound like a cliché, but we stand by this statement 100%. Sustainable entrepreneurship costs money. But we are confident that nature is thankful to us for the investments made. The best possible proof are the fruits of the earth, the flowers and plants that sprout from our land.

But exactly how do we understand sustainable entrepreneurship? And how to do we put the concept into practice? Here a few examples.

From water to flowerpots

Sustainability is central in each step of the cultivation process. The water we use to make our plants grow is recycled and reused. The energy we need to enable My Goodness to thrive and flourish we derive directly from the sun. To move around our land, we go by bike. And then we get to the end product. The plant as such, the label, the pot... they are all recyclable.

Plant health is priority

My Goodness would not be My Goodness if we did not take care of our plants. Not only do we let them grow up in the most favorable conditions, we constantly monitor, take preventive measures and only intervene when necessary. And if we must intervene, we do so according to the principles of "integrated pest management. We are very frugal in our use of crop protection agents and limit spraying to a minimum.
