Agapanthus

Agapanthus is also referred to as African lily. Which explains a lot. This terrace and garden plant is not only very low maintenance, but also perfectly capable of handling extended periods of drought.

The long-flowering plant loves the sun and whisks up all sorts of dazzling colours. The range of blue tones, fireworks effect flowers, pristine white…  It certainly got its ‘flower of love’ nickname for good reason, as Agapanthus symbolises fertility in South Africa.
